On February 26 -28, 2006, AAHRPP held its second annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference was a huge success and the association is looking forward to an even better program next year in Baltimore. Be sure to check the web site for updates about the 2007 conference.

2006 Conference Objectives

Conference attendees:

  1. Learned to identify the key aspects of the accreditation process and acquire the skills to complete each phase.
  2. Learned to identify the common problems organizations are experiencing in meeting the accreditation standards and ways to address them.
  3. Became familiar with innovative practices to improve protections for research participants.
  4. Interacted with individuals from accredited organizations.
Target Audiences

As accreditation is an ongoing quality improvement exercise, the conference is geared to individuals from both accredited and non-accredited organizations, to those working on accreditation or who are new to the accreditation process, behavioral and social service research programs. This includes IRB professionals and chairs, institutional officials, regulatory compliance professionals, project managers, researchers, and sponsors.
